Honest counting
No small print: here’s exactly what each book uses, how credits carry over, and the daily limit.
Your plan gives you story credits each month, counted from the day you subscribed. Each book uses a few, depending on its length, its pictures and whether a narrator reads it. You always see what a book uses before you make it.
Up to half of your plan’s credits that you don’t use carry into the next month. They’re used first and last for that month, so nothing piles up and nothing feels wasted.
To keep bedtime calm, a family can make at most 2 new books in one day, counted in your own time zone, however they’re paid for.
Read and listen to any book as often as you like. Book 1 of a new series also paints the cast’s portraits and composes its theme. If a book ever can’t be finished, its credits come straight back.

Fewer pictures use less: Premium pictures at the beginning, middle and end add 3, at the beginning and end 2, and just a painted cover 1. No pictures and reading it yourself add nothing. Book 1 of a new series adds 2, plus 1 for each character’s portrait, for the series cover and theme melody (1 without pictures).

Holidays, sleepovers, a month of big feelings. With a plan, extra credits wait patiently until your monthly credits are used. Without one, they pay for every book. They never expire either way.
Members pay less for every pack: without a plan, credits cost about 15% more.

On the same day each month as you first subscribed. If you joined on the 14th, new credits arrive on the 14th. Your account page always shows when, and how many unused credits will carry over.
Bedtime is better with one or two stories than with ten. The limit of 2 new books a day keeps things gentle, and it also keeps the service fair and affordable for every family.
No. You can add your children, set up a series and answer tonight’s questions without one. When a book is ready to be made, choose a plan for credits every month, or buy a few credits just for that book.
Credits bought without a plan cost about 15% more than with one. They never expire, and if you choose a plan later, they’re still yours.
Extra credits are a top-up you can buy at any time, with or without a plan. With a plan they’re only used once your monthly credits (and any carried over) are gone. They never expire.
They still count toward the daily limit. If a book can’t be finished, its credits come straight back.
Yes. Move up or down whenever you like from your billing page, using Stripe’s secure billing screen.
Subscriptions bought in the iPhone or iPad app are handled by Apple. You can change or cancel them in your device’s Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Your library is the same everywhere.
Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for. After that, you can still make books with credits you buy, and any you already have are kept. Your shelf stays put. If you also want everything deleted, you can delete your account from the account page.
Yes. Your bank may convert the amount to your own currency. Any sales tax is shown at checkout before you pay.
